RETURN OF POPULAR STREET DANCE

The Delavan Fall Festival announces the return of the very popular 5th Street Dance which will kick off the Labor Day weekend festivities on Friday, September 3rd. The Festival is pleased to be partnering again with local business The Farmhouse to present this evening of music and fun for ages 21 and over. Last year's dance was very well attended, and this year's event promisesto be another crowd pleaser with the sound of Peoria-based "Mister Sister."
Known for its classic rock sound, "Mister Sister" is well established within the Central Illinois live music scene. The band brings a wide range of influence to their performance that can be compared to the powerful sounds of Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Reo Speed Wagon and other similar classic bands. The group's website describes the band as "being known for its ability to play classic arena rock. However, due to its members' broad knowledge base and talent they have the ability to play Funk to Blues as well." Venues listed on the band's summer schedule include such listings as Goodfella's, Martini's, Wenona Days, and the Ottawa Riverfest.

"Mister Sister" is one of eight musical groups included in this year's Fall Festival. According to new board member Mark Williams, the Festival Board has been working diligently to bring a wide variety of music to Delavan's Labor Day celebration, music that will appeal to different age groups and tastes over the entire weekend. Williams assures festival attendees that, with offerings such as banjo music and classic rock, patriotic singing and family groups, the 2010 Delavan Fall Festival will once again be providing quality entertainment for everyone.
